The Call
In October 2024 during Climate Week NYC, a group of individuals met at the Union Theological Seminary Center for Earth Ethics to create what the world needs now - a path to bring the Society for Earth Law to life.

The Declaration
WE MAKE THIS DECLARATION, wishing to show we stand in solidarity with Earth, our home, and with the community of life of which we are a part, with the acknowledgment that living in mutually enhancing relationships in this Earth community is critical to our well-being and that of future generations.

Our Purpose
We believe the law should serve all of us, not just the powerful.
Our legal systems now favor property, profit, and accumulation of wealth at the expense of sufficiency for all and the protection of Earth—the foundation of life itself.
