MAISIE PADDON

Maisie is a strategic advisor with 20 years’ experience leading complex, multi-million-pound programmes across agriculture, energy, water, finance, and the public sector. She has advised corporate boards and parliamentarians on building regenerative economies in some of the poorest areas of the UK, shaping governance frameworks and organisational structures that deliver beneficial outcomes for multi-stakeholder communities through public-private partnerships. She has shaped policy, unlocked investment for large-scale programmes, and is well versed in climate and biodiversity legislation and global disclosure frameworks. While recognising their value, Maisie believes we must go further - toward planetary alignment and living in rhythm with Earth’s cycles.

Today, as Director of Advocacy and Earth Law Practice at SOEL, and through our Living Institute, Maisie advances an Ecocentric approach to law, economics, and governance, with compassion and kinship at its core. She champions the creation of new ecological ethics, regenerative economic models, and community services that move humanity away from a destructive existence toward a cooperative and mutually enhancing presence. For Maisie, Nature is our stakeholder in everything we do — and we will not live better unless we recognise our interconnectedness with all life. Her work helps shift organisational mindsets from risk-driven models to cooperative, living systems that align with Earth’s cycles, building resilience and restoration in the face of global polycrises.
